Missing persons week 2013

31 Jul 2013, Posted by TorchMedia in News

More than 30,000 people are reported missing in Australia every year, to help combat this TorchMedia has donated ad space for the 2013 National Missing Persons Week (NMPW) in conjunction with the campaign being run by the Outdoor Media Association.

NMPW 2013 runs from July 28 to August 3 and is the fifth time OMA’s members have supported the cause, donating $210,000 in free advertising space.

Other participating member companies include APN Outdoor, JCDecaux, oOh! Media and ROVA with printing services provided by Cactus Imaging.

The tagline of this year’s NMPW is “People living with a mental illness are at a greater risk of going missing”, as it focuses on the link between mental health and missing persons.

In NSW last year 12,409 people were reported missing with 84 of those people still missing. Keep your eye out on sites around the country to see if you can help identify any of the missing persons.
