Welcome to our September Best of the Month selection: a monthly round up of our favourite recent campaigns. We love to celebrate our clients who are making great transit creative, designed perfectly for the space, with bold colours and eye-catching imagery!

Western Sydney University

Format: Sydney Ferries – Interior Landscapes, Sydney Light Rail – Full Wrap, Inner West Light Rail – Digital Portraits & Sydney Metro – Digital Portraits

Western Sydney University is making an impact across Sydney, with its bold, brand campaign spanning Sydney Ferries, Sydney Light Rail, and Sydney Metro. Asking Sydneysiders, “You ready or what?”, the campaign speaks directly to future students as they travel throughout the city. Western Sydney University was also a proud launch partner of our new Digital Network on the Inner West Light Rail, taking the opportunity to be one of the first brands to reach commuters along the L1 line.

Why we love it: The multi-asset approach across Sydney is a great way to build frequency, reaching commuters multiple times and across different touchpoints throughout their journey from the CBD to suburban Sydney.

Budgy Smuggler

Formats: My Fast Ferry – Vessel Domination & Digital Network

Budgy season is here, with Budgy Smuggler bringing its summer campaign on board the My Fast Ferry. Leveraging proximity to its Manly store on the Corso, Budgy Smuggler has taken over the Ferries with a Vessel Domination alongside the On-Board Digital Network, directly reaching their audience on the move. The playful creative has taken a nostalgic approach using polaroids and postcards, reminding commuters that “summer looks better in budgy smuggler”. Making the most of the high-dwell time on board ferries, the campaign incorporates an interactive element with a “Where’s the Budgy Smuggler?” game across the tabletop format.

Why we love it: Budgy Smuggler has made the most of the My Fast Ferry environment with a campaign that is highly relevant to Manly audiences, and an interactive component increasing brand recall and consideration.

bp Grand Final

Format: Adelaide Trams – Full Wrap & Digital Portraits

Adelaide audiences are getting pumped for the upcoming bp Adelaide Grand Final, bringing world-class racing to the iconic Adelaide Street Circuit. The eye-catching Full Wrap on Adelaide Trams is packed with vibrant colours, bold graphics and text, capturing the excitement of race day and bringing the experience to the daily commute. The Full Wrap is complemented by Digital Portraits across Adelaide Tram stops, reaching audiences from their first touchpoint on the platform through to boarding the tram.

Why we love it: The action racing shots and driver imagery brings the campaign to life, creating an instant connection with supercar fans on the go.

Sony PlayStation – Marvel’s Wolverine PS5

Format: Sydney Light Rail – Triple Carriage Wrap & Sydney Metro – Tunnel Wrap

Marvel’s Wolverine is making a striking impression throughout Sydney, with bold yellow creative across a Triple Carriage Wrap on the Sydney Light Rail, and the Tunnel Wrap at Castle Hill Metro Station to promote the new game on PS5. Sony utilised a market-first reflective foil print on the Tunnel Wrap to create a hyper-realistic impression of shredded metal, bringing the Wolverine campaign to life.

Why we love it: The campaign uses striking contrast of yellow and black, simple yet bold messaging, and immersive large-scale graphics that catch the eye and generate excitement for the new game release.

Optus

Formats: Sydney Light Rail – Full Wrap & Interior Takeover, Sydney Metro – Digital Portraits & Landscapes

Optus’ latest “There’s always a way” campaign taps into the Australian can-do attitude, highlighting how the brand helps make everyday moments possible. Reaching Sydneysiders across the Sydney Light Rail and Sydney Metro, the sports inspired creative brings this message to life through a grandmother coaching her granddaughter’s basketball team, reinforcing the idea that where there’s a will, there’s a way with Optus. The Sydney Metro Digital Network showcases humorous clips highlighting the challenges Nonna and her team face, reinforcing there’s always a way.

Why we love it: On the Sydney Light Rail, the creative cleverly uses the movement of the vehicle, with the basketball team appearing to run alongside it, creating a dynamic execution that is perfect for transit environment.
